ACTIVE AND PASSIF

Pengertian dari kalimat aktif dan passif yaitu merubah kalimat langsung menjadi tidak langsung. Dengan menggunakan adverbs of manner setelah ‘to be’ (was, were, is, are ). Beberapa contoh kalimat active dan passif :

1.   Present simple : am/is /are + verb3 (past participle)

Example :

    Active : Rudi writes a letter

    Passif  : a letter is written

2.   Simple past : S + V2 (past verb)

Example :

   Active : flooding causes many motorcycle

   Passif  : are many motorcycle die flooding

3.   Present countinue : am /is /are . being + verb3 (past participle)

Example :

  Active : Tuti are learning the english

  Passif  ; The english language is being learned by Tuti

4.    Past countinue : S + was/ were + being.not +verb3 (past participle)

Example :

  Active : I was playing when my boyfriend came to my house yesterday

  Passif  : I was not playing when my boyfriend came to my house

                yesterday

5.   Present perfect tense : has/have,been + verb3 (past participle)

Example :

  Active : They have changed the course schedule steering wheel

  Passif  : course schedule have been changed their steering wheel

6.   Past present tense : had/have,been + verb3 (past participle)

Example :

  Active : I had three children who are very nice rabbits

  Passif  : I had not been three children who are very nice rabbits

7.  Modal  : modals +verb 1

Example :

·         Should  I buy salad for lunch ?

Yes, you should. ( you should buy salad for dinner)

·         What should he do for his stomachache ?

He should see a doctor.
