CONDITIONAL SENTENCE
the third conditional (also called conditional
type 3) is a structure used for talking about unreal situations in the past
this page will explain how the third conditional is formed, and when to use it.
Type 1
we are
thinking about situations that were possible but did not happen (if+had+will+simple
future)
Example : if filed the document, I'll lost it (fact: but I
didn’t file it,cannot be changed)
Type 2
we are thinking about
situations that were possible but did not happen if + Simple Past, Conditional I (= would +
Infinitive)
Example : if had file the document, I would have lost
it (fact: but
I didn’t file it,cannot be changed)
Type 3
Example : if I had file the document, I would have
lost it (fact: but I didn’t file it,cannot be changed)
